One of the major advantages of the slot-in wireless receiver form factor is that they can be configured for multiple applications, including insertion into a camera or multi-coupler device, or for standalone use where power is provided by a battery distribution system (BDS) or battery sled. The ADX5BP-TA3 Backplate provides stand-alone connectivity for the Axient® Digital ADX5D into professional broadcast cameras, multi-coupler devices, and battery distribution systems (BDS). It includes a 4-pin connector for mating with a Shure battery sled, two TA3 (mini 3-pin XLR) audio output connectors, and a 4-pin locking Hirose power input connector. Captive Phillips-head screws provide simple installation to the ADX5D. Providing two channels of audio output, ADX5BP-TA3 Output 1 and 2 are both analog. However, Output 1 can be configured for digital AES3 output in the device menu (analog Output 2 is disabled when AES3 is selected).
