Founded in 1988, Starin has grown from a small Midwest-based organization to one of Global coverage. Jim Starin, the founder, built the business by empowering the team from management to all associates through principle-centered responsibility. 

Headquartered in Chesterton Indiana, Starin – a Midwich Group company – operates in two main segments. Starin's pro-AV business provides value-added distribution services such as design, finance, assurance, and installation on behalf of manufacturers to the trade market, including products from brands such as Neat, Shure, Logitech, DTEN, LG, Barco, SMART, and more.

Fundamentally, a Business Development firm, Starin performs Market Development, Channel Management, and Demand Generation function for the associated brands. This is accomplished most effectively via a high degree of Brand Synergy. Starin also works with a focus for Opportunity and Profit center development for its resellers, integrators, and other outlets for professional and commercial audio/video. Starin maintains 100,000+ square feet of warehousing to accommodate available inventory and quick delivery.

Starin has also pioneered the Zoom Rooms Outfitting model, allowing it to support Certified Zoom Integrators with a complete ecosystem of hardware components – optimized to work with Zoom’s video conferencing software.
